Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is seeking a Relationship Manager for its Commercial Banking team in Canada. You will manage and grow a portfolio by proactively developing new business opportunities and ensuring clients’ day-to-day banking needs are met at the highest level.

You will build relationships through outreach, provide cash management, credit, and advisory solutions, and participate in risk management while leveraging technology to deliver client-centric outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Commercial Banking team, you’ll work with our clients to create end-to-end financial solutions to help build a comprehensive approach to finance growth, manage cash flow, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk. As a Relationship Manager you will manage and grow a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients by proactively developing new business opportunities in the community and ensuring clients’ day-to-day banking needs are being met at the highest level. You will develop new client relationships through business development activities, actively monitor and manage the relationship with the client, and structure, negotiate and document credit and cash management arrangements to deliver what matters to our clients and help them realize their goals.

How you’ll succeed
  • Client Engagement - Meet with clients to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan. Use your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
  • Relationship Building - Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients you value them and their communities. Grow your network, deepen existing relationships, and collaborate with others to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
  • Leveraging Technology - Become a technology expert. Share your knowledge by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, enabling them to better manage their banking needs.
