Provides technical expertise for proactive credit analysis, structuring, pricing, and overall transactions assessment within the assigned portfolio/jurisdiction. Offers advisory support to ensure decision accuracy and consistency with risk strategies, policies, and appetite. Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective actions. Makes credit and pricing decisions aligned with sound credit principles, in compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying prospective customers and referring those with Personal Banking or complex needs to appropriate personnel.
- Understanding local markets and proactively developing relationships with centres of influence.
- Developing internal and external networks to grow BMO's business.
- Providing accurate information about business banking products and services.
- Responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating when necessary.
- Maintaining long-term profitable relationships and expanding wallet share.
- Analyzing data, providing insights, and making strategic recommendations.
- Monitoring performance and addressing issues.
- Producing reports and dashboards.
- Managing databases in line with data governance standards.
- Leading or participating in change management initiatives, including planning, stakeholder management, and execution.
- Developing communication plans and tailored messaging.
- Providing technical support for complex credit transactions.
- Reviewing credit transactions for compliance with policies.
- Developing risk profiles, structuring loans, and conducting investigations.
- Monitoring portfolio quality and reporting on credit activities.
- Understanding customer needs and offering tailored financial solutions.
- Recommending solutions based on issue analysis.
- Delivering excellent customer service and building trust.
- Supporting strategic planning and identifying emerging trends.
- Implementing operational programs and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Executing work efficiently and developing relationship management strategies.
- Building client rapport and credibility.
- Designing training programs to address skill gaps.
- Adhering to security, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
- Assessing risks and maintaining operational integrity.

Qualifications include:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Successful completion of CMS Compass Program or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of business banking products, lending, and policies.
- Experience in customer sales and service.
- Technical proficiency through education or experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and influence skills.
- Data-driven decision-making abilities.
