Facilitates growth initiatives for the Bank through significant business development and excellent management of key client relationships. Maintains an outstanding and continuous record of revenue generation from sales and syndications. Ensures compliance with internal control standards, audit, regulatory, and policies.
- Develops new business by contacting prospects and clients, cross-selling Bank products including credit, trust/investment, and cash management.
- Participates in Bank and community activities to increase brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Applies expertise in bank products, processes, and systems to ensure a high-quality client experience.
- Coordinates closing processes with relevant departments, clients, and attorneys.
- Serves as a daily escalation resource to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Advises clients on loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements.
- Provides advice to business clients on cash management and deposit solutions.
- Guides clients on business management and financial matters where appropriate.
- Develops and manages Commercial banking relationships, including prospect planning and pipeline management.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees, monitors, and reports on regulatory remediation for assigned business groups.
- Analyzes financial data to determine client needs and structuring of Bank's products and services.
- Tracks performance, addresses issues, and ensures proper documentation for loans and cash management services.
- Reviews loan applications and service agreements for completeness and accuracy.
- Structures and negotiates terms for credit and cash management services, ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines.
- Follows up post-closing to ensure documentation is complete and filed.
- Acts as a primary sales contact for product information, pricing, and implementation questions.
- Prepares data and documentation for sales activities and supports pre-sales efforts.
- Tracks implementation requests and improves sales support materials based on feedback.
- Provides research and data to facilitate client solutions.
- Supports sales and service administration to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Maintains accurate client information and ensures correct billing.
- Focuses primarily on business/group within BMO, with possible enterprise-wide scope.
- Provides technical support and exercises judgment in problem-solving within rules.
- Works independently on non-routine situations; broader responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- For Credit Qualifiable jobs, relevant credit qualifications and skills per standards.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency through extensive education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
- Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Salary: $68,000 - $126,000
