Job summary

LivLove Clinic in Owen Sound, Ontario, seeks an experienced couples therapist to join as an independent contractor, providing relationally-focused services to couples and partnerships. The role emphasizes presence, authenticity, and honoring both partners’ inherent wholeness.

Compensation is competitive per session ($87.50–$111.00/hr) with minimum 15 client hours weekly, plus admin support, referrals, and ongoing professional development in a modern space with free parking.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related clinical field.
• Hold a qualifying or full membership in psychotherapy, social work, or psychology and be registered in good standing with relevant regulatory bodies.
• Extensive experience providing couples/relationship therapy services.
• Training or experience in EFT, Gottman, Imago, or similar modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationally-focused couples therapy using approaches that honour the wholeness of both partners.
• Support couples experiencing relationship conflicts, communication breakdowns, infidelity, intimacy issues, and life transitions.
• Work from a foundation that both partners are inherently whole and resourced, not broken.
• Help couples recognise and shift relational patterns that create disconnection.
• Support partners in accessing vulnerability, authenticity, and emotional intimacy.
• Practice from trauma-informed, relationally-attuned, and presence-based care principles.
