Job Description

About this job: The Developer will support reinsurance managers and operations with technological solutions, ensuring smooth workflows. Responsibilities include supporting the SICS Reinsurance application, developing and maintaining interfaces, batches, and scripts to boost productivity and system efficiency.

SICS is a core reinsurance system requiring coordination with various IT teams across locations and time zones.

About The Role: Maintain existing reinsurance applications and automated processes in .NET, SQR, and PL/SQL, including troubleshooting. Extend functionalities for new web and cloud-based services, collaborating with Business Analysts to design IT solutions that meet business needs. Responsible for development, testing, and version upgrades of SICS, acting as a technical liaison with the vendor. Focus is mainly on backend tasks such as APIs, scripts, interfaces, and databases.

Qualifications

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining technical solutions.
• Proficiency in .NET and SQL; willingness to learn PL/SQL and SQR.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Background in Software Engineering, Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure), DevSecOps, Agile.
• Experience in Finance/Insurance/Reinsurance is a plus.
• Interest in Reinsurance business and systems like SICS is advantageous.

Education/Further Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
