Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts (09:00-17:00).

Basic Requirements
  • Secondary school diploma (Grade 12);
  • One (1) year previous related experience with clinical funding programs in health care or health insurance setting;
  • Successful completion of The Ottawa Hospital medical terminology self-directed learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
  • Basic Excel;
  • Experience with literature searches;
  • General knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Sound knowledge of the Ontario Drug Benefit Formulary;
  • Sound knowledge of Word and Outlook;
  • Sound knowledge of EPIC or other EMRs
  • Ability to collect and analyze statistical data;
  • Ability to develop rapport with patients, stakeholders and clinicians;
  • Ability to work independently, with empathy and remotely with broader team members;
  • Ability to train and mentor new staff;
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment and work under stress;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
