Overview

Rehabilitation Counsellor - Greater Fredericton & Upper River Valley regions (full-time, work from home based office is an option, travel required)

Responsibilities
  • Meet with individuals at their home, in hospital or at the rehabilitation centre and serve as counsellor, planner, navigator and facilitator to empower health, independence and full community participation of persons with mobility disability.
  • Work with individuals and their support networks to identify needs and goals, set goals, develop action plans, identify solutions and mobilize supports and services.
  • Provide services to adults and seniors with a mobility disability in York, Sunbury, Carleton and Victoria counties.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Psychology, Sociology or Human Services
  • Experience in counselling and person-centred planning
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, relationship-building, writing and facilitation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • A knowledge of and passion for disability issues
  • A strong knowledge of community resources
  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong proficiency in English required. Bilingualism an asset.
Salary, Benefits and Requirements

Salary bracket: $46,000 to $53,000 + benefit package. Valid driver’s license, travel and service delivery within service regions and use of own vehicle is required.

We offer a gold standard health and dental package, 3 weeks paid vacation, time off over the Christmas season, and a matching RRSP contribution plan for up to 3% of salary.
