Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Mobility Team under the Provincial Mobilization program to support early mobilization for patients. You will provide care in a hospital setting, coordinating with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy components and adhering to standards of practice.
We require a Grade 12 or GED, completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant program, BCLS, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and under the supervision of the NZ Frailty Coordinator, the Rehabilitation Assistant is a member of the health care team, providing support to clients and families through the Provincial Frailty and Mobilization program to support early mobilization of clients. Rehabilitation Assistants within the mobility teams will provide early mobilization interventions to individuals in hospital care setting related to the client’s mobility needs, Clinical Frailty Score and overall plan of care. Rehabilitation Assistants practice inadherence to practice standards and scope of employment.

$25.84 - $30.85 Hourly
