Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking a Regulatory Manager to lead applications and compliance for Alberta data center infrastructure. You will be the liaison with project teams, municipal planning authorities, provincial regulators, and communities to secure approvals.

The role requires 5–8+ years in regulatory affairs or related fields, with deep knowledge of Alberta regulations and permitting processes. Collaboration with utilities and gas suppliers is essential for timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory affairs, environmental permitting, or land development in Alberta.
• Knowledge of EPEA, Water Act, AUC Rule 007/012, MDPs, and LUBs.
• Professional Planner (RPP/MCIP) or P.Eng. with APEGA is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute environmental, land-use, and zoning permit applications across local municipalities.
• Act as primary contact with Alberta regulatory bodies and local municipalities; ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with distribution companies and power partners for grid interconnection approvals.
• Engage with gas suppliers and Alberta Energy Regulator for gas pipeline approvals.
• Manage public notification and Indigenous engagement per provincial frameworks.
• Track regulatory changes and manage permitting milestones against construction schedules.
