Job Overview:
The Regulatory Affairs team plays a critical role in advancing the Fraser River Tunnel Project. The team’s work navigates the complex landscape of environmental assessment and permitting, consultation and engagement with First Nations, relationship building with stakeholders, and collaborative solution seeking with contractors. The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator will contribute directly to a high profile infrastructure project and will gain valuable insight about major project delivery in BC.
This position will be responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for the Regulatory Affairs team in the development and delivery of key Project materials and its ongoing engagement with First Nations, regulators, and stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supports the planning, tracking, and close out of project and team deliverables.
- Maintains a tracking system to ensure all team initiatives, deliverables, communications, reporting, and submissions are documented and progressed.
- Monitors schedules and deadlines related to deliverables and initiatives, reviews for issues and concerns, and ensures completion aligns with requirements.
- Researches, prepares, edits and distributes information to the Project team (e.g., presentations, fact sheets, backgrounders, briefing notes, and reports) to support engagement programs with First Nations and regulators.
- Supports the preparation and submission of Project materials including environmental assessment and permitting documents.
- Tracks and maintains record of engagement with First Nations and regulators and prepares, distributes and tracks meeting notes, agendas, and action items.
- Compiles files, correspondence, and resource material in preparation for meetings with First Nations and regulators.
- Establishes and maintains meaningful, supportive and collaborative cross-discipline relationships, including those with First Nations and regulators.
- Works collaboratively with Project leads and consultants to promote First Nation community awareness and involvement in the development of Project plans and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Degree in First Nations Studies, Environmental Studies, Public Relations, Political Science, Project Management, Law, Communications, social sciences, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively with others and to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal impact assessment legislation and regulatory processes (e.g., BC Environmental Assessment Act, Fisheries Act, Water Sustainability Act, and Canadian Navigable Waters Act) is an asset.
- Experience working with regulators and First Nations is an asset.
- Successful completion of security screening will be required as a condition of employment with TI Corp.
