The position

The Regulatory Affairs Associatehas a strong understanding of cosmetic regulatory policies, documentation and compliance requirements. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet local and international regulatory standards.

This is a temporary position working Monday through Friday in a hybrid capacity from our workshop in Canmore, Alberta, or fully remote.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and submit regulatory documentation for cosmetic product approvals and registrations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards related to cosmetics
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory policies, rules, and procedures
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and authorities to facilitate product registrations and approvals
  • Work closely with Research & Development, Quality and Production teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle
  • Review and approve product labels, ingredient listings, packaging and promotional material to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assess the safety, efficacy, and regulatory status of cosmetic ingredients to ensure compliance
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality and safety concerns
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations globally (e.g. Health Canada, US FDA, EU Cosmetic Regulation)
  • Conduct regulatory risk assessments and provide guidance on compliance strategies
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections and audits
  • Maintain regulatory databases and documentation for audits and inspections
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact the business

Does this sound like you?

  • Accredited Educational background in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharma, Biology), or another quality related field
  • Minimum 3years of experience working in Regulatory Affairs within the Cosmetic industry
  • In depth knowledge with Health Canada and FDA (MoCRA) cosmetic regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
