Regular Probationary Faculty - Vision and Hearing Technologies (Hearing Aid Sciences)

$71,846.00 – $115,129.00. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

The Faculty of Science and Technology invites applicants for a part-time regular probationary faculty position to teach in the Hearing Aid Sciences Program. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of courses related to hearing tests and the fitting of hearing aids.

The Faculty of Science and Technology invites applicants for a part-time regular probationary teaching position to teach in the Hearing Aid Sciences Program starting in the Fall 2025 semester. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of courses related to hearing tests and the fitting of hearing aids.

You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College course work, primarily in an online setting. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner‐centered instruction.

The successful candidate must have:
• a current license as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner in good standing with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia;
• experience teaching in clinical, classroom, online and/or laboratory settings in a hearing-related program or equivalent;
• at least five years of broad and current clinical experience that includes a sound foundation in Hearing Instrument Technology;
• curriculum development/maintenance experience/expertise;
• effective interpersonal skills, initiative and creativity;
• self-directedness, strong work ethic and excellent writing ability;
• ability to collaborate and contribute effectively to team activities; and
• satisfactory current references.

Additional Information

This part-time regular probationary faculty position in the Hearing Aid Sciences Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology is available starting in the Fall 2025 semester. The program is based at the Coquitlam campus. The current part-time workload is equivalent to 62.5% (5/8) of a full time workload.
