$71,846-$115,129 Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

The Department of Psychology and Social Science invites applicants for 1 full-time position. Workload is assigned each year based on available work. The most urgent area of need is for instructors who can effectively teach introductory and advanced statistics courses. There is also a moderate need for faculty with the ability to teach the Psychology of Women, Gender Relations, and/or Educational Psychology. Finally, the ability to teach Introductory Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Vocational Assessment and Counselling, and/or Psychological Assessment is an asset. You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners, and maintain quality learner‐centered instruction. You will participate in department and faculty meetings, committees, ongoing professional development, and departmental growth.

Workload will be assigned each academic year depending on available sections.

The place of work may be at the Coquitlam or New Westminster campus.
A completed Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university is required to instruct any Psychology course within the department.

Preference will be given to applicants who have:
• satisfactorily taught courses or have research experience in areas of greatest need.

  • (Urgent need): Introductory and advanced statistics
  • (Moderate need): Psychology of Women; Gender Relations; Educational Psychology
  • (Less urgent need): Introductory Psychology; Clinical Psychology, Vocational Assessment and Counselling, and/or Psychological Assessment
• experience in and commitment to undergraduate teaching, with satisfactory evaluations
• evidence of recent scholarship or research
• commitment to participate in departmental and college meetings, and projects
• willingness, availability, and skills to supervise research theses for honours BA students (if area of specialization is appropriate)

Additional Information

The Psychology and Social Science Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking a regular probationary full-time instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year in Psychology. This full-time position is available as early as the Winter 2026 semester.

Workload will be assigned each academic year depending on available sections.

The place of work may be at the Coquitlam or New Westminster campus.
