Job summary

Pembina Hills School Division in Fort Assiniboine invites applications for a Regular Part Time Educational Assistant in Early Learning Services to support 3- to 4-year-old children with diverse needs in a preschool setting.

This role involves working with a preschool team, following the school calendar, with Tuesday and Thursday shifts of 3.5 hours. Start date is as soon as possible and the position ends June 7, 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with complex needs.
• Familiar with and experience in early intervention.
• Understanding of early childhood development and experience and training in working with preschool children with developmental disabilities.
• Able to work as a member of a preschool team.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed.
• Experience with speech language support and behavioural issues an asset.
• First Aid would be an asset.

• Support Early Learning Programs for 3–4 year‑olds with moderate or complex needs in small, play‑based settings.
• Collaborate with preschool staff to implement planned activities and supports.
• Assist in monitoring progress and engaging children in learning activities.

The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in working with children with diverse needs in the preschool program.Hours of work will be Tuesday and Thursday at 3.5 hours/day following the school calendar.This position starts as soon as possible and ends June 7, 2027 .
