We are seeking a high-achieving Director, Executive Search based in Calgary, with strong business development acumen and a passion for identifying and securing top executive talents.

The Opportunity

As a Director, Executive Search, you will be instrumental in initiating and managing client and candidate relationships within the executive search space. This role requires a proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with senior leaders and decision-makers across various industries. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge, extensive professional network, and innovative sourcing techniques to connect exceptional executive talent with our clients.

Your success is defined by your ability to:

  1. Develop and manage strong business relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  2. Conduct in-depth client consultations to understand business needs, company culture, and leadership requirements.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive networking and industry engagement.
  4. Design and implement tailored search strategies that align with clients’ long-term talent acquisition goals.
  5. Utilize innovative and targeted search methodologies to identify, attract, and engage top executive talent.
  6. Conduct in-depth candidate evaluations, including competency assessments, career trajectory analysis, and cultural fit determination.
  7. Guide candidates through the entire executive recruitment process, from initial engagement to successful placement.
  8. Manage salary negotiations, benefits discussions, and other employment terms to ensure successful outcomes.
  9. Lead end-to-end retained executive search assignments, ensuring a consultative, data-driven, and high-touch experience for clients and candidates.
  10. Provide clients with regular, detailed progress reports and market insights throughout the search process.
  11. Coordinate and manage confidential and high-stakes recruitment projects with discretion and professionalism.
  12. Ensure a seamless client and candidate experience by managing timelines, expectations, and deliverables effectively.

Your strengths include:

  1. Proven experience in retained executive search, talent acquisition, or high-level recruitment consulting.
  2. Strong business acumen with the ability to engage and advise senior executives and decision-makers.
  3. A results-oriented, strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  4. Demonstrated success in business development, networking, and relationship management.
  5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach.
  6. Ability to manage multiple executive search assignments simultaneously while maintaining high service quality.
  7. Proficiency in executive search methodologies, market mapping, and passive candidate engagement strategies.
