Job summary

A reputable health center in Halifax is seeking a part-time Registration/Scheduling Clerk to manage patient registration and scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and strong data entry skills, alongside the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. The Opportunity

The Registration/Scheduling Clerk handles patient registration, processing, and scheduling of physician clinics. Responsibilities include accurate data entry into Meditech, completing health forms and consents, assisting with audits, liaising with departments, relaying messages, scanning, archiving, mailing, maintaining supplies, obtaining charts, and training new staff.

Hours of Work

7-hour shifts on weekdays, with evening availability as required.

Your Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; a recognized business/secretarial program is an asset.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required; testing may be conducted.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Competencies in other languages, especially French, are assets.
