Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT
Location: Lake Country, BC

Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre is seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVT) to join our skilled team in September 2025. We value team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Our Technologists have the opportunity to work with a variety of cases involving both companion animals and exotic species. Responsibilities include providing wellness and preventative care, assisting in urgent care management, and overseeing anesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries. We are committed to expanding our ER department to 24/7 services, with shifts ranging from daytime to overnight, including shared weekend shifts. Rotations are designed to promote work-life balance; current schedules primarily involve 10-hour shifts, with options for pure overnight shifts for emergency-focused staff.

  • MUST be enrolled in or have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
  • Skills in physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
  • Experience in surgical preparation, assisting, and patient recovery
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient records
  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their owners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask clarifying questions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients
  • Passion for ongoing learning and professional development

Opportunities for growth include pursuing specialties and working within our referral departments.

Compensation: Starting at $25.00/hour for new grads, with increases based on experience. Evening and overnight premiums are also offered.

About Us: Located in Lake Country, VCA Canada’s Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre is a growing practice in the Okanagan Valley, serving the Interior of BC for over 35 years. Our facility includes general practice, exotic animal care, and expanding specialty services such as Rehabilitation, Dermatology, Behaviour, Internal Medicine, and Nutrition. We recently launched overnight services and aim to expand our ER services further.

The hospital features a 16,500 sq ft purpose-built facility with eight exam rooms, a treatment floor, in-house labs, four ORs, dental suite, advanced imaging equipment including ultrasound, CT, and digital radiography.
