VetStrategy is seeking a compassionate Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join Southglen Veterinary Hospital in Winnipeg. You will provide high-quality nursing care, assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and urgent care cases, and help manage a dynamic caseload without overnight shifts.

The role offers exposure to urgent care, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, and critical care, with strong support from an experienced DVM/RVT team and opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Registered RVT in good standing with MBVMA (Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association).
• Demonstrated passion for patient care and nursing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Support veterinarians with medical, surgical, and urgent care cases.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics, treatments, and patient monitoring.
• Support soft tissue surgery and other procedures.
• Triage and assist with urgent and emergency-style cases.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
• Work closely with DVMs and the veterinary team to provide excellent patient care.
• Participate in ongoing learning and clinical development.
• Help maintain a positive, collaborative hospital environment.

We Are Looking For An RVT Who Is

• Registered and in good standing with the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association
• Passionate about patient care and nursing
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Confident in anesthesia, patient monitoring, and nursing care, or eager to continue developing these skills
• Interested in GP, surgery, urgent care, and/or emergency medicine
• A strong communicator and team player
• Positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented
