About The Role

We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our friendly and collaborative team at Fort Garry Veterinary Hospital. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to use your technical skills, contribute to a positive patient experience, and support our veterinarians in delivering high‑quality medical and surgical care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate, high‑quality nursing care to patients throughout their visit.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia and provide appropriate perioperative care.
• Perform RVT duties within your scope of practice, including patient assessments, sample collection, laboratory diagnostics, and medical treatments.
• Support preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, wellness visits, and client education.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and at‑home instructions.
• Help create a calm, welcoming experience for pets and their families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols for patient safety and infection control.
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and the broader hospital team.
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment and the continued development of the team.

What We’re Looking For

• A diploma in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program.
• Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in Manitoba.
• A passion for animal health, patient advocacy, and compassionate care.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
