We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team full-time. As an RVT you will work together with the on-site staff as well as with outside specialists to provide medical care to rescue animals that have been neglected and/or abused (primarily dogs and cats). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to recognize animal behaviours, and possess a deep sense of compassion, sensitivity, and patience.
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pool, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

Our sanctuary provides a safe and structured environment where animals receive comprehensive medical care, enrichment, and behavioural rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary team operates according to shelter medicine principles, focusing on population health, preventive care, and humane, low-stress handling, ensuring every animal receives the medical attention and emotional support they need to thrive. Working closely with veterinarians, animal care staff, and behaviour teams, you will help ensure that all animals receive compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care.

$55,000 - $65,000 per year
Our animals require care year-round, including weekends and evenings. Our team members work varied shifts 5 days per week from Monday-Sunday, including holidays.
