Qualifications

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team.

Employment Status: Temporary Full Time

Duration: Feb 2026 - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Medical Imaging

Hours of work: 8 hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights and/or weekends - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.

Employee Group: OPSEU 577

Hiring Range: $36.84 - $51.77

Location: Humber River Health - Wilson Site.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performing all general ultrasound duties, and other duties as assigned, including abdomen, O.B./gyn., small parts, vascular Doppler, MSK, breast.
  • Prepare and assess patients for ultrasound exam including confirm exam validity based on history provided.
  • Complete exam process by image review, completing sonographers impression sheet, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered or in the process of obtaining registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Must have Personal Liability Insurance (PLI).
  • Accredited college diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with all aspects of ultrasound preferred.
  • Previous US experience within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a group environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have good teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
