SJH St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a part-time Radiology MRT at the Charlton Campus in Hamilton. You will perform a range of radiographic procedures at a technical level while maintaining competency per CMRITO standards.

Applicants should hold CMRITO registration, be prepared for a team-based environment, and participate in committees as required. The role includes varied shifts and on-site work at the Charlton Campus.

Qualifications

• Current registration with CMRITO is required.
• CAMRT and Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences membership preferred.
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required.
• Experience as MRT is essential and familiarity with departmental committees is a plus.
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems is required.

Position Summary

Using CMRITO Standards of Practice and Organizational Policies and Procedures performs a variety of radiographic procedures at a technical level. Responsible to maintain competency and follow standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). The Department requires a team approach to assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences is preferred
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required
• Must be willing to participate in departmental committees and meetings (e.g. Quality Management Committee Safety Committee Education Committee Team Meetings)
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems required
• Computer skills in a Windows environment are a definite asset
• Previous years of experience as an MRT is essential
• Knowledge of quality control procedures on equipment will be required
• Good attendance and work record is essential
