Responsibilities

1. Provide individual, couples, or family therapy to clients based on training and scope of practice, using evidence-based approaches.
2. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and practice policies.
3. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and adjust goals as needed in collaboration with clients.
4. Ensure client confidentiality and ethical practice, following all relevant guidelines (e.g., CRPO, CCPA, or respective governing body).
5. Deliver therapy sessions virtually or in-person, based on client preference and therapist availability.
6. Attend case consultations, supervision, or team meetings as required by your governing body.
7. Manage scheduling and communication with clients, including appointment reminders, follow-ups, and cancellations.
8. Maintain valid liability insurance and professional membership in good standing with their regulatory body.
9. Uphold a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and inclusive approach in all therapeutic interactions.
10. Participate in continued professional development to stay current with best practices and evolving modalities.

Qualifications

Must be registered and in good standing with a recognized Ontario regulatory body:

1. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
2. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Must have experience working with first responders or frontline professionals (e.g., through clinical work, family background, peer support, or related settings).

Strong understanding of trauma, PTSD, and operational stress injuries (OSI).

Proficient with virtual care platforms and basic digital documentation tools.
