Qualifications

• Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration.
• Current B.C.L.S.
• Diploma RPN or equivalent.

• Experience in Long Term Care required.
• Recent nursing experience in gerontology.
• Psychogeriatric experience a definite asset.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with primary nursing an asset.

Summary of Duties

RPNs are responsible for the total care of a group of residents within a Primary Nursing care delivery model within their scope of practice. The RPN supports the philosophy of Patient-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RPN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
