About the Role

Join the VON team and make a meaningful difference in your community by delivering exceptional care. VON nurses collaborate with community health teams to provide client-centered health care in homes, community settings, and clinics.

Our Visiting Nurses provide care in the client’s own home, including physical assessments, symptom management, palliative care, rehabilitation, wound care, education, and counseling for individuals and families.

Candidate Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse in your province
• Community Health Nursing certification (asset)
• Additional degrees or certificates may be required for specialized roles
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Current Criminal Records Check and possibly Vulnerable Sector Search or Child Abuse Registry Check
• Experience in clinical practice and community health (assets)
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required
