New RPN Job in LTC! We are hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) for senior living homes in Vaughan. Our client offers a competitive compensation package, and there is a 3- or 6-month full-time contract with health and dental benefits. Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN) and the ability to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing are required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care
• Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans
• Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents
• Ensure the supply, control and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts

Qualifications

• RPN - Diploma in Practical Nursing; current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration
• Knowledge of the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, and Food & Drug Act
