Temporary Part Time Position until August 31, 2025
Brampton Site
Week 1 (30 hours): Sunday 7am – 7pm, Wednesday 7am – 7pm, Fri 3pm – 11pm
Week 2 (22.5 hours): Sunday 3pm – 11pm, Friday 3pm – 11pm, Saturday 3pm – 11pm

Position Summary:
ErinoakKids is currently seeking an energetic Registered Practical Nurse to support children and young adults with medical and/or behavioural complexity within our Respite Program. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and work towards supporting clients as they participate in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and implement individual client care plans;
2. Communicate client care plans with respite staff;
3. Review and record all medical documentation;
4. Conduct assessments and respond to client needs;
5. Provide direct clinical care;
6. Provide onsite guidance and training to respite staff members as applicable;
7. Operate transfer and mobility equipment;
8. Adhere to health and safety procedures including infection control practices;

Qualifications:

1. Diploma in Practical Nursing is required;
2. Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
3. Previous pediatric nursing experience;
4. Experience working with children with physical and developmental disabilities;
5. Experience working with children and youth with challenging behaviors;
6. Current C.P.R. and First Aid and CPI certificate is preferred;
7. Excellent nursing assessment and problem-solving abilities;
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
9. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends;
10. Enjoy working under minimal supervision with children in a team atmosphere;
11. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
