Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Gravenhurst, ON is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for an existing vacancy. The role offers a competitive rate per the collective agreement and benefits. You will be part of a team ensuring residents receive compassionate care and daily support in a welcoming environment.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will oversee care delivery, supervise support staff, and coordinate admissions and ongoing assessments, contributing to residents' dignity and comfort daily.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing practice principles.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Conduct admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.

What you’ll be doing:

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
