Expected Average Number of Hours: 15 hours per week ( not a guarantee of hours )

Position Summary:

As a key member of the Perioperative Services department, we are searching for a part-time scrub RPN position to work various shifts in the Operating Room and Cystoscopy Clinic. The successful incumbent must be available to be on-call for nights. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Registration in good standing required
  • RPN Diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of the RPN Operating Room nursing certificate required
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • Recent experience in the Operating Room required
  • Laser certification required
  • Knowledge of keyboarding and Meditech system modules an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
