Job Summary:

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a licensed RPN responsible for assessing, planning, and providing interventions according to the Standards of Practice (RPN College of Nurses of Ontario), aligned with hospital goals for assigned patients.

Qualifications:

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse.
• Current Basic CPR certificate.
• Current pharmacology certificate.
• Minimum of six months to one year of experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.

Job Duties:

• Provide appropriate nursing interventions as outlined by the College of Nurses RPN Scope of Practice.
• Availability to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
• Willingness to work the current 12-hour shift rotation.
• Prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
• Adopt a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing situations.
• Maintain regular and sustained attendance.
• Understanding of First Nation culture and ability to speak Oji-Cree is a definite asset.
• Adhere to organizational policies on cleaning, hand hygiene, and PPE use, supporting infection control, and attend training as necessary.
