Job Summary:
The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a licensed RPN responsible for assessing, planning, and providing interventions according to the Standards of Practice (RPN College of Nurses of Ontario), aligned with hospital goals for assigned patients.
Qualifications:
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current Basic CPR certificate.
- Current pharmacology certificate.
- Minimum of six months to one year of experience preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.
Job Duties:
- Provide appropriate nursing interventions as outlined by the College of Nurses RPN Scope of Practice.
- Availability to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
- Willingness to work the current 12-hour shift rotation.
- Prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
- Adopt a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing situations.
- Maintain regular and sustained attendance.
- Understanding of First Nation culture and ability to speak Oji-Cree is a definite asset.
- Adhere to organizational policies on cleaning, hand hygiene, and PPE use, supporting infection control, and attend training as necessary.
