Job Summary:
The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre seeks a licensed RPN responsible for assessing, planning, and providing interventions according to the Standards of Practice (College of Nurses of Ontario), aligned with hospital goals for assigned patients.
Qualifications:
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current Basic CPR certificate.
- Current pharmacology certificate.
- Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.
Job Duties:
- Provide nursing interventions within the RPN Scope of Practice.
- Availability to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
- Willingness to work the current 12-hour shift rotation.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Adopt a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Effective communication and adaptability to changing situations.
- Consistent attendance is essential.
- Understanding of First Nation culture; speaking Oji-Cree is an asset.
- Adhere to infection control policies, including cleaning, hand hygiene, and PPE use; attend necessary training.
