Job summary

Oak Valley Health is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for its acute inpatient Mental Health Unit. You will conduct psychiatric assessments, provide supportive counseling, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver patient-centered care.

Role requires current nursing registration, BLS, medication administration, and physical assessment certifications, plus knowledge of Ontario mental health laws. Various shifts available in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute psychiatric nursing experience
• Medication Administration certification required
• Physical Assessment certification with proven skills
• Psychiatric/mental health certificate preferred
• RPNAO membership preferred
• Proficient computer skills and interprofessional collaboration
