Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative care across the OR, PACU and day surgery programs. Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, you will work with an inter-professional team to ensure safe, patient‑centered care.

The role requires two years of surgical or day surgery experience, current BCLS certification, and registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative program.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  • Support OR, PACU and day surgery operations and patient flow.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative program and must meet the following criteria:

Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Current two (2) years experience in a Surgical or Day Surgery setting
  • IV Certification
