Position Information

This position is temporary until October 1st, 2026 approximately

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts (07:30 - 15:30)

Basic Requirements

  • Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Current BCLS;
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a surgical ambulatory care clinic (within last 2 years);
  • Medication administration course;
  • Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of the care of the Surgical patient and an ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting;
  • Demonstrates the ability to participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary health-care team;
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in an oral and a written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the application and relevance of the Quality Assurance Program and participates in unit activities;
  • Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of the Nursing Utilization Collection system and willingness to participate on an ongoing basis;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of safe medication administration and ability to practice this in a clinical setting;
  • Able to perform all tasks related to this position;
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
