Accountability Objective

Are you passionate about making a difference in seniors' lives? Our RPNs support residents in doing what matters most, providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. Under the guidance of the Health & Wellness Manager, the RPN enriches residents' lives by supporting their independence and leading resident care teams.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Recognized nursing license (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Certified in Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Previous experience as an RPN is an asset.
• Effective communication skills in English, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, responsible, and aligned with the residence's values.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assess residents' needs and develop care plans to promote independence.
• Conduct assessments and update care plans regularly.
• Ensure proper documentation and safe medication practices.
• Supervise care staff and provide guidance.
• Administer medications and treatments per standards.
• Respond to emergencies and provide direct care.
• Maintain infection control protocols.
• Lead and develop team members.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with medication management and other duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to policies and safety regulations.
