Job summary

SE Health is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for Journey Home Hospice in Windsor. You will deliver compassionate hospice care within a trauma-informed, harm-reducing framework, working closely with a dedicated team to support patients experiencing homelessness and vulnerability.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
• LEAP Certificate required / Willing to complete LEAP Certificate within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year Hospice Palliative care experience and ongoing continuing education is preferred
• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Mental Health Nursing Certification or equivalent training preferred
• 1 year Mental Health experience and ongoing continuing education is an asset
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of an integrated health care team (PSWs, RPNs, Physician, Nurses, Hospices Volunteers)
• Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Works well in a changing environment with an appreciation for continuous quality improvement processes
• A current First Aid and CPR certificate is required
• Availability to work 12 hour shifts (7pm-7am)
