Job summary

Reliable Staffing is seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) for travel and contract assignments across multiple healthcare facilities. Roles include day, evening, night shifts, weekends and holidays as required, with emphasis on compassionate patient care and thorough clinical documentation.

Applicants must hold current RPN registration, CPR/BLS certification, and be willing to travel for assignments. Prior experience in long-term care or hospital settings is advantageous; strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Current RPN registration with the applicable provincial regulatory college.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous experience in long-term care, retirement homes, hospitals, or community care is an asset.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centred nursing care.
• Assess and monitor patients/residents and report changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans and policies.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, PSWs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patients' conditions and emergencies.
• Promote patient comfort, dignity, safety, and independence.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Maintain professional standards and facility policies.
