Job description

CReATe Fertility London / London Women’s Health Care is a fertility and gynecology clinic directed by Dr. John McNaught and Nurse Practitioner Mira Daher. Supported by leading medical specialists, cutting edge technology and decades of expertise in providing personalized, comprehensive support for fertility journeys, CReATe Fertility London is a leader in IVF, IUI, and Natural Fertility Treatment.

Reporting to Dr. John McNaught, the Registered Practical Fertility Nurse provides ongoing support for Dr. John McNaught and his patients. This role performs a variety of administrative and nursing duties that require comprehensive knowledge of the department, use and/or access to confidential information; and coordinating a range of administrative activities to support the clinic.

In this exciting opportunity, you will play an integral role in providing day to day patient care. The key responsibilities of this role will be assisting with fertility cycle monitoring, relaying results, providing support and teaching as well as collaborating with different departments with the CReATe organization.

Compensation:

  • Starting at $30.00/hour with opportunity for increase after probationary period

Responsibilities:

  • Practice phlebotomy on a daily basis
  • Prepare and administer specialized IV and Injection therapies
  • Perform injections and self-injection teaching to our patients
  • Collaboration with multiple interdisciplinary teams
  • Observe and document patient interactions and conditions
  • Perform patient assessments

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
  • Excellent phlebotomy / intravenous skills required
  • Ability to prepare and administer specialized IV and Injection therapies
  • Ability to practice to full competency required
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with EMR Software
  • Well-developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in a collaborative interdisciplinary team setting
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated ability to function autonomously and to adapt to changing situations and varying workload
  • Demonstrated commitment to the achievement of goals and objectives in patient care
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
