Job summary

ParaMed in Canada is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide community-based nursing with autonomy and balance. You will conduct scheduled visits, assess patient needs, deliver ethical nursing care, and adapt care plans in collaboration with RNs to support patients at home.

  • Registration with the CNO as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Experience delivering community care is an asset.
  • Bilingual English/French is preferred to support client care.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduled community visits to care for patient needs within scope of practice.
  • Provide ethical and safe nursing care.
  • Use assessment tools to assess patients’ needs and adjust care plans.
  • Execute and monitor care plans and update records accordingly.
  • Engage patients with a collaborative approach to build rapport and trust.
