- PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- MUST be registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a pharmacy technician
- Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day to day management of workload;
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
- Work in a Remote Dispensary Location (RDL) collaborating with the pharmacists at the main pharmacy
- Assist patients in securing insurance coverage for their specialty medication
- Work collaboratively with Patient Support Programs
- Work independently on labeling and filling / refilling prescriptions;
- Perform an independent technical check for prescription release
- Identify potential therapeutic issues and notify the pharmacist on duty
- Maintain inventory management controls and recall documentation.
- Prepare / review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents;
- Support with GMP and Quality Control
- Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and / or correct data in computer;
- Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacist;
- Pack and ship prescription orders;
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician is required to renew their College of Pharmacy Registration on an annual basis, and to participate in the Quality Assurance Process on a regular basis, as part of their continuing education.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
- EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
- Proficiency in Kroll;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy;
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
Pay : $60,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
