We mainly deal with patients who require biologics / specialty medications used in the treatment of chronic medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, urticaria, ulcerative colitis, and many others.

At Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy, we provide patient-centric healthcare and assist patients in overcoming the challenges of specialty pharmacy. We utilize innovative strategies to deliver patients access to specialized therapy in a cost-effective, timely and caring manner leading to improved adherence, therapeutic success and overall well-being.

  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • MUST be registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a pharmacy technician
  • Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day to day management of workload;
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
  • Work in a Remote Dispensary Location (RDL) collaborating with the pharmacists at the main pharmacy
  • Assist patients in securing insurance coverage for their specialty medication
  • Work collaboratively with Patient Support Programs
  • Work independently on labeling and filling / refilling prescriptions;
  • Perform an independent technical check for prescription release
  • Identify potential therapeutic issues and notify the pharmacist on duty
  • Maintain inventory management controls and recall documentation.
  • Prepare / review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents;
  • Support with GMP and Quality Control
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and / or correct data in computer;
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacist;
  • Pack and ship prescription orders;
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician is required to renew their College of Pharmacy Registration on an annual basis, and to participate in the Quality Assurance Process on a regular basis, as part of their continuing education.
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
  • EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
  • Proficiency in Kroll;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy;
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay : $60,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
