Sobeys Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team across Canada. You will perform authorized technician duties, ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing medications while upholding patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

As part of a renowned Canadian retailer’s pharmacy network, you’ll collaborate with pharmacists and adapt to provincial requirements, contributing to community health and wellbeing across participating banners.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, knowledgeable and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Prepare, process and compound prescriptions where applicable.
• Conduct final check of prepared prescriptions and verify drug and patient information.
• Provide injections/vaccinations as permitted by provincial regulations where applicable.
• Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies.

As a regulated professional licenced with the provincial college of pharmacy you’ll be an essential part of our pharmacy team that’s committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individual to conduct the authorized duties of the technician as imposed by individual Provincial Pharmacy Regulatory Bodies.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

RPT’s will have independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process and compound prescriptions including:

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certainjurisdictions
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
