Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team. You will conduct authorized technician duties, support patient-centered care, and contribute to safe and accurate prescription processing across our Canadian banners.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and compound prescriptions including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic; provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
• Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies and conduct final checks of prepared prescriptions.
• Confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.

• RPT’s will have independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process and compound prescriptions including:
  • Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
