Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited, via Central Pharmacy Services, in Mississauga, is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) for full-time overnight shifts (Sun-Thu, 10:00 PM–06:00 AM). Must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists.

Responsibilities include accurate medication preparation checks, narcotics reconciliation, patient confidentiality, and maintaining efficient central fill workflows in a high-volume environment. Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered as an RPhT with the College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum 1 year in a pharmacy setting.
• Experience in high-volume filling is preferred.

• Responsible for ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identified.
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications.

• Patient privacy and confidentiality is protected in accordance with regulations.
• Keep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality. This includes weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages and all non-packaged products
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identified
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications
• Responsible for checking products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled times
• Patient privacy and confidentiality is protected in accordance with regulations
• Keep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures
• Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What You Bring

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing
• Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT
• A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)
• Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Complete work with minimal supervision
• Teammate and Leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
