Job Description:

The Registered Pharmacy Technician will provide excellence in patient-centred care by ensuring patient safety through the accuracy and quality of product preparation and release. You will collaborate with the pharmacists in the promotion of wellness, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.

  • 40 hours per week.
  • The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • The usual shifts will fall between these days and times.

Responsibilities :

  • Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
  • Ensure that a prescription is complete and authentic.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies.
  • Prepare and process prescriptions by performing duties such as entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, packaging, or repackaging medications.
  • Perform the final check of a prepared prescription.
  • Ensure the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records, while maintaining patient confidentiality and following legal/regulatory conditions.
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licenced Pharmacy Technician in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certificate from a CCAPP-accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • Kroll software experience is an asset.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Afternoon shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
