Location

McLennan station is located in the Town of McLennan, in Peace Country, near Slave Lake, Grande Prairie, Peace River, and Edmonton. This is an excellent opportunity to live, work, and explore northern Alberta. International applicants with valid work visas and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Role Description

As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured patients, operate ambulances, and may administer minor medications and basic life support. You will lead BLS crews and ensure EMS vehicles are properly stocked. The environment is physically demanding and involves exposure to various weather conditions, hazards, and remote locations. You must be able to lift up to 105 lbs, kneel, bend, and carry weights, and work in awkward positions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Non-restricted registration with Alberta College of Paramedics as PCP
  • Current BCLS-HCP certification
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent with a recent driver abstract
  • Successful completion of F.A.R.E. test within the last 6 months
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (within 90 days)
Preferred Qualifications
  • EMS experience in various environments
  • Additional post-secondary education
