Fort Vermilion, situated along the Peace River in Mackenzie County, near the BC and NT borders, with a population of nearly 21,267. It offers scenic wilderness and rapid growth. As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured patients, operate ambulances, and possibly treat patients with medications, BLS airway adjuncts, and semi-automated defibrillation. You may lead BLS crews during patient transport or emergencies. Responsibilities include maintaining ambulance and EMS vehicle readiness. The environment is demanding, with exposure to weather, traffic, industrial equipment, hazardous scenes, bodily fluids, and physical strain, including lifting up to 105 lbs and extended periods of kneeling, standing, and awkward positions.
EMS experience in various environments and additional post-secondary education are assets. Entry-level candidates with interest in North Zone are encouraged to apply.
