Job summary

Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist. We offer part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible schedules and a remote work option.

You will travel across Ontario to perform community assessments and implement treatment plans. Assignments cover Northumberland, Peterborough, Haliburton, Kingston and Kingston area, North Simcoe, Champlain, Waterloo-Wellington, Hamilton-Niagara, London, Windsor, Greater Toronto Area, and Sudbury.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 2 years field experience as an OT.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in good standing.
  • ADP Authorizer preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Complete community assessments and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Meet all patient needs and coordinate care.
  • Collaborate with team and health professionals as needed.
  • Document timely and clear communication.
  • Identify assistive devices and coordinate delivery/installation.

  • 7-Waterloo-Wellington and surrounding areas including Kitchener, Cambridge

Qualifications:
  • Masters degree of Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 2 years Experience in field work as an Occupational Therapist
  • ADP Authorizer is preferred but not required
  • Great communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate and think critically (both written and verbal skills)
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (must be in good standing)
Responsibilities:
  • Complete community assessments and implement an effective treatment plan for patients (Non MVA files)
  • Ensure that all patient’s needs are met
  • Collaborate with other team members and health care professionals when needed.
  • Documentation-charting to ensure excellent communication in a timely manner
  • Identify the need for any beneficial/assistive device for the patient – support with the coordination of the delivery and installation of these devices
Education:

Master’s Degree (required)
