Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized School of Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree required
- Current certification or eligibility for certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
- Current BCLS required
- 2-5 years of recent surgical/procedural experience required
- Ambulatory care preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and the ability to care for patients with the following: IV therapy and administration of medication above the drip chamber, blood glucose monitoring, wound management skills, infection control practices
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient/family centered care
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a fast paced environment
- Evidence of ongoing, current professional development
- Computer literate: Meditech, Word and Outlook
