Position Summary

As a member of the UHN Nursing Multi-disciplinary Team, the Registered Nurse practices according to relevant legislation and standards, meeting legal and ethical requirements. Responsibilities include applying nursing knowledge, theory, skills, and critical decision-making to provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care aligned with the UHN Professional Practice Model and mission. The role involves ensuring practice adheres to professional standards and ethical frameworks, engaging in lifelong learning, performing reflective practice, and contributing to quality improvement. The successful candidate will support Primary Nursing Care as the care delivery model.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to patient-focused care and team building
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in physical assessment and patient status prediction

  • Experience in Oncology nursing is preferred
