Job description

Join to apply for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Strathroy role at RhynoCare Staffing Solutions.

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to start work as soon as possible in the Strathroy area.

Shift details: Early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care according to established policies, physician’s orders, resident plans, and within RN scope of practice.
  • Utilize sound nursing principles to deliver excellent care in assigned areas.
  • Ensure timely and accessible resident admissions, including comprehensive orientation.
  • Manage resident transfers and discharges safely and promptly.
  • Control and safeguard drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements
  • BScN, BN, or equivalent nursing degree.
  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective, compassionate, and supportive interaction with others.
  • Respect for residents’ dignity, privacy, and involvement in care decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Health Disciplines Act, and others.
  • Medical clearance (e.g., TB tests), Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and criminal record check.
  • Proof of vaccination, adherence to COVID-19 protocols, and mask-wearing at all times.
